The Studio Apex is a light, modern and spacious garden room. The Studio Apex maximizes the use of available light with glass to ground double glazed windows either side of the double glazed double doors.

Coloured Painted External Finish: A comprehensive paint system comprising an initial undercoat and a further top coat, available in a wide selection of colours.

Medium Oak Aquastain External Finish: A timber aquastain applied to the exterior walls and then coated with a lacquer to provide a satin finish.

Painted MDF Lining + Insulation: Building is internally lined with foil back bubble insulation and covered with a painted MDF moisture resistant tongue & groove board.

Heavy Duty Floor: 19mm heavy duty floor upgrade.

Additional Windows & Doors: Add extra windows to increase the amount of natural light, including privacy style vent windows. Extra doors can also be added for more access points.

Internal Partition Walls: Internal partition walls can be added to create an additional room which can be accessed via external shed style doors and/or internal doors.

Tinted Glass: Upgrade to tinted glazing, one side of which has an anti-sun tint applied to the unit.

Roof Upgrades: Roof upgrade options including:

  • Heavy duty polyester mineral felt roofing in black or red
  • Polyester mineral felt roof tiles in a choice of three colours
  • Cedar slatted roof
  • Pressure treated slatted roof

Technical Specs

Construction:

  • Standard floor thickness is 13mm; heavy duty floor upgrade is 19mm.
  • All deal and cedar buildings have deal roofs and floors.
  • Cedar buildings have cedar doors, windows & external cladding only, i.e. they have deal framing, roofs, floors & verandahs.
  • Ironmongery is chrome as standard unless otherwise stated.

Roof Options

Buildings come with heavy duty mineral felt as standard, with the following upgrades available:

Shingle roof
Western Red cedar shingles fixed to pressure treated joists, to enhance the appearance of your building and provide added protection to the roofing felt beneath.

Slatted roof
An aesthetic roof made with feather-edged pressure treated deal or Western Red cedar boards, to enhance the appearance of your building and provide added protection to the roofing felt beneath.

EPDM rubber roof
A maintenance free synthetic rubber membrane covering the roof as an alternative to roofing felt.

Bitumen felt tiles
Roof is covered with tile-effect heavy duty felt tiles

External Finish

  • Prior to leaving the factory, all of our non-painted deal and cedar buildings are treated with a good quality preservative on the inside and outside. We recommend that you preserve your garden studio on an annual basis to maintain the lifespan and appearance of your building.

Integral Open Sided Area

  • Please note, when working out the price for this option, use the overall building size including the open area.
  • However, where an open sided upgrade is applied, the heavy duty floor cost must be included to the internal area as well – as the decking in the open sided area is heavy duty, the other sections of the building need to match the thickness.

10 Year Guarantee

All of our Garden Studios come with a guarantee against decay and rot:

  • Ten years for cedar
  • Two years from deal.
  • Three years for pressure treated deal

All other workmanship and materials are guaranteed to be free from defects and faulty installation for a 12 month period from date of your installation. All of our guarantees are subject to the garden buildings being maintained in line with our recommendations. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.

We would like to remind customers that timber is an organic product, subject to naturally occurring changes that may result from different environmental conditions i.e. changes in colour, shrinkage and surface splits. We cannot accept responsibility for these natural changes.

Delivery & Installation

All of our garden buildings will be delivered and installed by our skilled team of fitters – ensuring that your building arrives in perfect condition and it is assembled to the highest standard.

Please be aware that you will need to provide a good, strong and level base constructed from either slabs or concrete. This will need to be completed prior to our delivery date, ensuring that it is set and strong enough for the building to sit on. We will always confirm these details with you when you order and we will provide you with base plans (if required) so that no detail is left out. These measures ensure that your garden building will be both delivered and installed without any inconvenience.

We like to provide our customers with a suitable delivery time. We always give good notice of our arrival date, allowing you to be sure it is the right time for you. We always appreciate any helpful information regarding access to your pre-prepared base area and any details you may need to share with us about reaching you – so that the delivery process can run as smoothly as possible.

Our delivery times can vary from season to season, but typically you should expect to receive your building around 4-6 weeks from point of order. All of our buildings are made to order, so during the busy spring to summer seasons this may increase to 6-10 weeks, dependent on the building that you have purchased.

Important Notes

All of our Garden Rooms come with a guarantee against rot and decay. Ten years for cedar, three years for pressure treated redwood and two years for redwood. All other workmanship and materials are guaranteed to be free from defects and faulty installation for a period of 12 months. All of our guarantees are subject to the buildings being maintained in line with our recommendations.

We would like to remind customers that timber is an organic product, subject to naturally occurring changes that result from different environmental conditions i.e. changes in colour, surface splits and shrinkage. We cannot accept responsibility for these natural changes.

All base work is the responsibility of the customer, as is the safe securing of the building once installed. We require a level solid base, either paving slabs, decking or concrete upon which to install your building. In the event of a base failure, it is the customers responsibility to accept delivery of the building and store appropriately.

Please allow as much room as possible around the building for our fitters to work during installation, a minimum of 18”. If this is not possible please contact the office to discuss.

Our installers will need clear access to carry building sections from the vehicle to your prepared base, with no height restrictions or tight, sharp corners to negotiate.

Our installers cannot lift sections over 4’ in height or over buildings such as garages. If the only access is through the house, a straight run is required and many sections will not pass through doorways. Please advise us in advance if there are any difficulties regarding access.

Always make allowance for any roof overhang when buildings have to go into confined spaces.

All of our non-painted redwood and cedar buildings are treated with a good quality preservative on the inside, as well as the outside, prior to leaving the factory. We recommend that you preserve your building on an annual basis to maintain the appearance and lifespan of your building.

All redwood and cedar buildings have redwood roofs and floors. Cedar buildings have cedar windows, doors and external cladding only i.e. they have redwood framing, floors, roofs and verandahs.

Ironmongery is chrome as standard unless otherwise stated.

All roofs are protected with a layer of heavy duty polyester mineral felt unless otherwise stated, available in a choice of three colours.

All building dimensions shown in this brochure are approximate, based on floor sizes.

All timber used in the construction of our buildings originates from sustainable forests.

As it is our policy to continually improve products, methods and materials, we reserve the right to change specifications from time to time, we will not make any significant variations without your agreement. 

When selecting additional windows/door, please make sure that you match your sheds finish.
